When I was in high school, my friend's mom was a receptionist at this salon that was owned by a family friend. One of the girls who worked there was one of the owners' daughters and she was 15 or 20 years older than me and in general a big pick me all the time, but I always felt like she was specifically mean to me for some reason, but I never knew why because I was a high school student and she was a grown adult. I will never forget that at that time, eyebrow waxes were $6 and I went with my friend to get our eyebrows waxed and that girl had to take me because no one else was available. As she was doing my eyebrows she said, "Once I get this unibrow, I'll do your mustache too and we can just call it $10." And that was so out of nowhere and we were not friendly enough to be making jokes like that, but I kind of awkwardly laughed and she said, "Unless you're too broke? Just say so." And I have never forgotten it and every time I see that raggedy bitch, I think of it.

I'm sad my line ended even though my SLP preferred hyperbeam and such activities to writing, and I don't have time for real-time activities and would prefer to write scenes/narratives, so we obviously were not compatible, but the pairing was cool, and getting SLs is so hard now.

I had a really great platonic line at a comm that I thought could maybe be a potential but I was too worried about ruining the dynamic by pursuing something romantic since good friendship lines can be so rare. The comm died and I've been thinking about reaching out because I miss the line and would love to keep writing them whether just as a platonic line or finally trying something more if they felt the same, but they've since used their journal for something else. Would it be weird to reach out? I feel kind of awkward now like I'm intruding or something.

I work in the mall right across from Lush and I never get tired of how amazing it smells walking down the concourse and if I exit my job from the other side there's a Body Shop right there and so the other wing smells amazing too.

My ex-slp invented a whole online persona where she's wild and single and would tell me all her crazy bad luck dating stories but turned out she's married with kids and everything she told over 3 years was a lie. It was odd because we're good friends and I don't understand why she lied, I would've liked the real her. When anons complain about their lying slps this is what I think of.
