IDK if I've just been unlucky but it seems like the people who are most vocal about the lack of writing on IJ actually don't want to write either.

That's probably it. I ended this SL already, but recently I had one where my SLP and I were comfortable talking OOC and they'd often mention how they really wanted to write because no one ever wants to anymore whether in comms or PSLs. Then every time we tried to write, they would die off within 2-3 replies and before anything significant could happen whether I started the scene or they did. And I've encountered similar situations before and is just so annoying.

Correct, the people left on IJ mostly want to RP about RPing rather than actually RP.
