I had a nearly two year sl with someone, and we became close ooc, to the extent that we both shared some pretty personal stories together. The line ended and I never heard from them again. It kind of bums me out how transient this hobby can be

I know the general mindset is that we don't owe each other anything, but it's strange to think that we spend so much time communicating with each other and suddenly never speak again. It's 2023 and I'm begging you all to try giving some depth to the "villains" in your character's lives. The people that hurt them or are clearly meant to have given them all their issues are interesting, this doesn't make them sympathetic or any of the pain they caused "okay" but it makes the whole of your character more interesting. And it's something I would love to see people explore more, how grey the world is outside of our heads and not marked very clearly "right" "wrong" just because it is in our heads.

This is something I've always tried to do with npc exes specifically because I've observed the laziest, most boring vilification of npc exes as peoples' whole attempt at seeming like their portrayal has some meat to it, but it reads like Wattpad characterization to me every single time. I think it's WAY more interesting to read about when a character's npc ex is a good person who deserved better than the character, or just two blatantly incompatible people who sent each other reeling. The npc evil monster ex is by far my least favorite rp trope.

God, no, please, do not entertain this line of thinking. Celeb comms "last" due to update passes so no one ever has to actually write and can therefore spend all their time in Wire chats and watching shit together. Celeb RP in comms is just self-inserting. I know PB has a LOT of issues but going down the celeb road is NOT the fix.

I just need to vent into a void so I'm sorry, but I wanted so much for my life. I've always wanted to be a mom and find a person to settle down with but I'm aging and it's not that age prohibits me but I have so much trauma from growing up in a terrible household that's held me back. And I know it's never too late but I can't get started. When I feel ready something happens and triggers me. I always get set back and I fear I'll never be happy.

IDK if this will get unscreened but I'm not talking about anyone in specific here. I noticed in PB that there's this phenomenon where someone, usually playing a guy, will be really low effort and not try to talk to many people, but the few people they do talk to will invariably be the most popular characters in the comm, so the guy seems popular by association even though in reality he talks to like four people, it's just that those people are so popular themselves.

This is such a corporate drone rant but my Zoom is so fucking slow and problematic, my internet connection is so fast for everything except Zoom which cuts out and always tells me my connection is slow, I miss huge chunks of what people are saying in meetings, even if I have my camera off and all the other bandwidth-saving settings it still shits the bed constantly and IT can't help and Zoom support can't help and it's just like okay, I guess I just can't hear 90% of my meetings now.

I wish this comm would allow me and my SLP to join. We actually both write characters who love engaging in conversation with others. I know it's to prevent people from PSLing in the comm but that's going to happen anyway in a few weeks to months.

I'm still kind of processing and coming to terms with the fact that I'll never have kids of my own. I'll always be the aunt-through-friendship, and I love my friends' kids so much, but I think in another life I could have been a great mother. In this one unfortunately I'm riddled with addictive tendencies, mental illnesses, and ADHD, and while some of that can theoretically be managed it kind of works together in a way to make managing it feel incredibly difficult. And I get all of these things from BOTH parents, I'm like the purebred Pug of people when it comes to brain chemistry, so chances are if I did have kids they'd have the same issues and I don't think that's fair to inflict on a person. I love kids, I'd really love one of my own, but knowing it can't happen gets me down so much.

It's 100% valid to feel this way, and I hope you give all the love to your friends kids. Having an adult in their lives that's understanding and empathetic that isn't their parents means more than you know. You can provide value to the lives of children around you still.

For you anons who have been pregnant before, did you have any symptoms before your missed period and what were they?

I faint. I've been pregnant 3 times and typically about 2 weeks before finding out I'm pregnant, I've fainted. I also tend to have low blood pressure issues while pregnant though.
