Listen Bi-racial or "not black enough" anons, I know our comments about being able to spot non-black writers makes you upset and defensive, but it's true sometimes and you don't need to get upset about it. Try to comfortable in your blackness, no one can take it from you and black people are not a monolith but we share a lot of cultural similarities that give us joy and that's okay. I've never once been upset if someone thought I wasn't black online and neither should you.

I told an embarrassing story once in anons and it doesn't matter now what it was, but I had also told the story to my off-IJ friends, like people I was friends with on Twitter or IRL and such, so other people knew about it. Some time before I told the embarrassing story, I had a dumb joke I tweeted get semi-popular with a couple thousand RTs and I made a joke about how I was famous now because of it, to which one of my friends that knew my embarrassing story replied and said something like, "you went from (punchline of embarrassing story) to internet fame." I completely forgot about this when I told the story in anons, but I was reminded a couple days later when someone started DMing me and replying to a tweet or two every day with something like "ok anon" "slp, stop tweeting and reply" "ok anon" "anon" "ok anon" "slp I miss them" and I had to explain to my friends who saw those replies that I thought it was a weird bot and I had no idea what it meant and ask my friend who publicly mentioned my story to delete it with some excuse about being worried someone I knew IRL might stumble upon it.

Anons I went to Big Lots for the first time since 2007 and it was depressing.
