Well anons, it was my birthday two days ago and among my presents from my family were: a Barbie t-shirt, a bottle of malt liquor, a FUCKING SWORD like a full on heavy ass katana or whatever, two bags of cannabis gummies, a pair of earrings shaped like tiny donuts, and tickets to see something called the Max Braxton slam bluegrass fusion experience. My slp told me for a year and a half how our line was the only one she had but I found out she's had so many sls in that time. She also told me she was sooooo busy with work but was backburning me. I'm not bothered by the other sls but I am so bothered by the lying since I never asked, she volunteered that info. I don't believe anything she says to me anymore. I'm sure it's probably accurate because grammar is nonsense and I'm not claiming to be an authority on it I'm just talking about a pet peeve, but I've noticed a big shift in the way people use the word resonate and it drives me NUTS. Instead of saying "the Barbie movie resonated with me" now people say "I resonate with the Barbie movie" and everything about it sounds so wrong to my ear and I hate it.

There's a city next to me that we hardly went to when I was a kid because everyone would be like oh my god it's just such a long drive, it's like a 90 minute drive and the traffic is horrible and it's hard to remember how to get there, but it's literally 35 minutes away and if you don't want to get on the freeway there are a ton of backroads that take you directly there, and the traffic is normal for a 4 highway with a lot of stores and restaurants so I wonder why all adults made this place seem like a treacherous hellscape. I've been working there since since 2009 and you couldn't ask for an easier or more beautiful commute.

I took my mom to see Barbie today and she said that if Roman from Succession was tall, he would be Ryan Gosling. At first I thought she was crazy but I've been reflecting on it and she's so right.
