I'm not surprised there are a few anons here trying to blame you for this. My ex-slp was a pathological liar about the most ridiculous things, most of which I never even asked about, and the lies ranged from not so serious like her internet being out to very serious like her dad being in the hospital. When I finally confronted her about one of the lies because it was one that was very hurtful to me personally, she gaslighted me so hard that I actually believed I was the sole problem. It was only a few years later that I finally realized how abusive she was, so get out unscathed while you still can, anon.
