Yes, if you're still interested in continuing things then I recommend responding to those comments even if they're redundant, since the other person is probably using it to (meekly) check in and see whether you're still around and still interested in continuing things. Also, yes, it'd be much easier if they outright asked if you were still interested and prompted you for a response, so as someone who does this sometimes I'm sorry for the way we are lmao.
