I think my least favorite part of these conversations where you guys decide what is and isn't allowed to be written about in rp is the part where people inevitably say that the reason things aren't allowed to be written about is because they're "never written well." If you want to advocate for TWs or discussing with slps first, yes, absolutely, I will always agree. That being said, in this literal hobby, NOTHING needs to be "written well" (which is incredibly subjective to begin with) as a requirement to participate, and it comes off as so snotty and elitist when you guys talk about other people's writing not being at a high enough standard for them to write about various topics. You're not paying for a subscription to read their narratives, and they're not applying for a job where you're the judge of their fitness; this a hobby for fun. Nobody has to write something that you consider good to be a valid participant in the hobby. Everyone deserves to be here regardless of their skill level. You don't have to sl with them, you don't even have to like them, but it's well past time you moved on from appointing yourself head writing critic.

Most other servers filter people out in admissions.

+1 Losing the standards of writing has been a problem here.

Anon all the good writers quit years ago. You start being selective now, you're going to end up with 10 people comms.

Good.

Then you don't get to complain about how the fp is dead or that comms don't live.

Great, because I don't do either.
