Maybe an unpopular opinion but if it's under a cut and you've provided a trigger warning I don't think you're "inflicting" anything on anyone, you're just writing what you want to write. They don't have to click or be your SLP if they DNW.

Agreed. To me it's the same as any other kind of fiction and yes, I am aware that this is a collaborative hobby, however if someone is using warnings and not just dumping triggering stuff all over the fp then it's easy to avoid what you're personally not comfortable interacting with. There are some very common issues that tbh I don't even think most people would find trigger warning worthy that are extremely upsetting to me, but if I see that it's part of someone's bio or they talk about it in updates I don't expect them to stop writing about it. I use my common sense and stop reading their updates/don't interact with that character.

+1 I'd hope that there is space in this hobby for writing all kinds of stories, even ones that are at times unpleasant.
